Dr. Christopher McHugh is originally from southeast Michigan. He earned his Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry with honors from the University of Michigan, and completed both his medical degree and a Ph.D. in cancer biology at Wayne State University School of Medicine. He then pursued advanced training in otolaryngology–head and neck surgery at Harvard University, where he participated in a wide range of research initiatives, including a notable collaboration with MIT researchers to develop a fully implantable cochlear implant. His research has been featured at international conferences and published in prominent medical journals.
Dr. McHugh’s clinical expertise includes treating head and neck tumors, sinonasal disease, ear and hearing disorders and the use of novel implantable devices for hearing restoration and sleep apnea management. He provides care for both adult and pediatric patients.
Outside of medicine, Dr. McHugh enjoys running, traveling and spending quality time with his wife and two children.
